No matter what kind of conceptual model you're working with, you're faced with a daunting task - accurately portraying a complex, multi-layered system or process. And your audience is a demanding one; different players in an enterprise have distinct objectives and are looking for different things in a single model.

To create an accurate and useful top-down representation, you've got to do much more than draw simple diagrams; you need to show multi-level hierarchies, the existence and character of relationships between objects, the specifications associated with each system component, and more. In short, you need to build a model in a universally-understood visual language. Because such systems are constantly changing, you also need the ability to make modifications easily and have the changes propagate automatically throughout the model.

We think you'll find netViz to be the perfect tool. Free from the restraints of IDEF, CASE-type tools, and other products using circumscribed modeling protocols, netViz has the perfect combination of power and flexibility to allow you to accurately depict any complex process or conceptual design. Our mission is to help you visualize data and make it easy to create and explore interconnected diagrams portraying complicated systems.

netViz doesn't just create diagrams, it displays data. Here are a few of the things netViz can do for you:

  • You want to see what parts of a complex system would be affected by modifications to a particular component. Drill down to increase granularity on that component alone and make the modification, then zoom back out to see instantly and graphically what other sub-systems are affected.
  • Using our Web-server software, publish your netViz project and its underlying data to the Web to give your team access to the information.
  • Use netViz to create temporal, logical, and physical models of the same system. Modifications to an object in any one model will automatically be reflected in the others.
  • Use netViz to search your diagrams for components with specified data characteristics. View the results in whatever manner suits you, a table or a diagram. Use data-driven graphics to flash or change the color of every object that meets your search criteria.
  • Link your existing databases to your netViz objects. When changes are made to the database records, update the diagrams with a simple netViz pull-down menu. If you prefer, make the changes on the diagram and use netViz to update your database.
