netViz Software Praised by Federal Computer Week Magazine
Review finds netViz "stands out in a crowded field" September 18, 2000, Rockville, MD. A review of netViz 3D software appearing in Federal Computer Week today finds netViz software "a good value that won't disappoint." More important, in the areas that can make or break a network documentation software Federal Computer Week looked at netViz and liked what it saw. "The key," wrote FCW reviewer Earl Greer, "is to find a diagramming software product that is easy to use, visually interesting and logically organized. In a crowded field, netViz stands out in all those areas." Taking
More than a simple drawing tool, netViz helps users visualize complex information graphically. The end result is a seamless integration between data and graphics, according to netViz President and CEO Vo Tran. "We've worked very hard to develop netViz's ability to present complex data in an intuitive, graphical format. Enterprises have tremendous amounts of data, but can't solve real-world problems without an easy way to get access to it. We believe that netViz provides that access in a powerful and elegant way." The FCW reviewer agreed. "One of the unique features of netViz is the ability to link graphics to external databases using a drag-and-drop interface. You can even link projects to databases and perform automatic refreshes." The article also noted the data component in netViz's Web publishing function. "Like its competitor, Microsoft's Visio 2000," wrote Greer, "netViz can export files for use as Web pages, but netViz adds the ability to publish the diagrams along with their embedded data. That means anyone browsing the Website can drill down to underlying object information and also perform data searches." About
